Alicia started teaching piano at 15 years old when her most cherished piano teacher was diagnosed with lupus and needed to re-home most of her students. From that point, Alicia knew she wanted to make teaching her lifetime career. She went on to study Piano Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Utah, and currently teaches in Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
Alicia has performed and accompanied throughout her life at many venues including concerts, competitions, recitals, television, radio, weddings, funerals, church, and corporate events. A favorite memory and opportunity was meeting, and performing with Wladimir Jan Kochanski in San Diego, CA. As a member of the Music Teachers National Association, she continues to learn, perform, and share the love of music education with others.
Alicia does not just teach piano. While her students are in school, she is also at school….teaching! She is a STEM teacher in the local community and enjoys learning new things, and especially enjoys the students she meets through her teaching.
